we extract Botticino Marble here

Our Botticino marble blocks are extracted from our Botticino marble quarries, located in the area of the Brescia Prealps, especially in the Nuvolento, Nuvolera, Botticino, Serle and Rezzato quarries. These are blocks of marble are characterized by a colour that can vary from ivory to hazelnut, marked by characteristic brown styloliths and small white veins. Botticino is a unique type of marble and its peculiar chromatic characteristics create refined and delicate compositions.

Botticino marble is suitable for outdoor cladding, thanks to its low degree of absorption and high resistance to both impact and weather conditions – including frost. Thanks to its high resistance to trampling, it is also suitable for the flooring of indoor large environments – such as: hospitals, hotels, airports and shopping centres.

Botticino slabs are obtained from the marble extracted from our Botticino marble quarries, located in Botticino, Nuvolento, Nuvolera and Serle – located in a large area belonging to the Brescian Prealps. A material renowned for its elegance, our slabs of marble Botticino  stand out for the extreme fineness of their texture, and for the uniformity and consistency of their chromatic and structural characteristics. The chromatic tone is very warm and delicate, marked by rare fossils on a macroscopic scale.

Our slabs of Botticino marble are characterized by a fine and consistent structure, with a microcrystalline base paste that enhances their workability and polishability. The polishing gives the marble flatness, shine and specularity, enhances its natural chromatic tones and brings out the contrasts due to the veins, It also enhances the marble durability and minimizes external aggressions.

The slabs of marble Botticino can be used in large quantities for stair steps, for both internal and external claddings and as floor tiles. The most common finishes are: polished, honed, brushed, blunt, antiqued, flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted, and so on.

Botticino marble quarries are part of the excellences of our country, since they feature one of the most appreciated variety of marble all around the world. Our Botticino marble quarries are located in the province of Brescia, a mountainous area in the municipalities of Nuvolento, Nuvolera, Serle and Botticino.

Botticino marble is a metamorphic carbonate rock formed in the Lias age, about 190 million years ago. The carbonate nature of the marine environment – typical of the tropical climates from which the Botticino landscape originated – gives its marble the characteristic white / ivory color and the stratification of the sediments has led to the creation of the classic brown veins that distinguish it.

Botticino marble has high quality chemical-physical characteristics: first of all it has a very homogeneous chemical composition, being made up of practically pure calcium and magnesium carbonates. The resulting qualities are excellent resistance and hardness, while the low porosity preserves the characteristics over time. Furthermore, it has a high resistance to thermal excursions and impacts and a consequent low wear due to friction, which makes this marble extremely efficient and able to guarantee a long life.

Overall, Botticino is an extremely robust and resistant type of marble, suitable for both interiors and exteriors of any type of architectural construction. Botticino marble is widely used for coatings, floors, kitchens, stairs, bathrooms, slabs and rooms of any type.
